If your MOT brake rollers are reaching the end of their servicable life and are starting to attract high servicing costs then it could be time to consider a replacement unit.
GETECH are specialists in the installation of MOT test lanes. As a manufacturer we are perfectly placed to give the best advice to you and also to assist in either the introduction of a new testing bay, or a managed running change to minimise your downtime.
New regulations, which came into force in November 2019, mean that all replacement brake testers in existing testing stations or those to be sited in new test stations need to be of the latest ‘connected’ type.
The GETECH range of brake testers meet this requirement, offering seamless data transfer between the MOT equipment and the DVSA’s MoT Testing Service (MTS) in much the same way as our ATL units have been operating since 2005.
Our products use PCB technology – which is ultra-reliable and does not require a seperate PC connection for the equipment to work. We also have designed the units to be operated using an infra-red remote control, and include options to wall mount the display for ultra-clean aesthetically pleasing installations.
The days of wires, floor mounted consoles and unreliable PC based units are a thing of the past with a GETECH brake tester – and we supply all GETECH products with a 5 year extended part warranty as standard!
Sometimes garage owners can have concerns over the amount of down-time which might affect the MOT bay during the course of an upgrade but in opting for a GETECH brake tester that work is minimised and requires no additional concrete to go into the installation if the floor recess does need to be modified. This frame, to keep your civil works quick and cost-effective, is supplied as part of all our roller brake testers and totally removes the time it takes for concrete to ‘go-off’ sufficiently for an installation to be completed – In addition we get metal to metal contact under the chassis offering better long term measurement accuracy.
We are also able to install our range of brake testers with either conventional Manual MOT test modes or full ATL test programs – We can build a brake tester to suit your individual requirements.
