Setting Up an MOT Station

We grease the wheels to get you MOT approved quickly!

Setting up an MOT station is an involved process. Not only do you need to understand many regulations pertaining to vehicle testing and inspection, but also you will need to undergo training to gain qualifications in MOT test centre management and vehicle repair technologies.

The current guidance from the DVSA is that you should undertake you training, find a premises and then apply to operate the MOT station however this is counter-intuitive to the sensible approach of “testing the water” to ensure that you meet the specific requirements from a business and premises perspective before spending money on training – which ultimately could all be in vain.

GETECH can assist you in opening an MOT station – it is what we do daily; indeed it is the area within which we specialise.

Of course many suppliers offer a VT01 form filling service but GETECH are fundamentally different. We not only offer this service, but get involved with other aspects of ensuring the project is realised on budget and on time.

All the services required to get you an Approval in Principle from the DVSA are included within our complete MOT bay packages, but these services can also be purchased on an ad-hoc, individual basis if you either have already started your VT01 application and got stuck, or have discovered an additional requirement with high complexity such as local authority planning consent.
